Inlays and Onlays
All-porcelain inlays and onlays strengthen teeth, unlike traditional silver fillings. Composite fillings are painted on layer by layer, whereas inlays and onlays are crafted by a laboratory technician. Similar to a crown, inlays and onlays are made to fit your teeth. Dr. Abramovitz will remove decay, place a temporary while your custom onlay or inlay is being crafted, and then permanently place the resoration to your tooth during a follow-up visit. The reinforced porcelain material can also be used where a crown or cap was once the only option. This technique conserves natural tooth structure and creates an all-white smile.
